A very special experience in a beautiful setting. We had groot for lunch which was extremely well prepared. Friendly staff. I had the privilege of meeting the owner, Catherine and enjoyed the history of the Spookhuis.

Gorgeous setting under a grove of ancient milkwoods and next to the lagoon. Friendly service and delicious platters with local wines available. The small deli also has items like local cheeses, charcuterie, and pickles.

Visited out of curiosity why a cafe would be on the lakeside along the dirt road - what a sủprise! The imposing "Spookhuis" with elegant library rooms for coffee and the upstairs venue for conferences etc. The receptionist was so welcoming too. The beautiful self catering lodges will be a great escape! Beautiful setting.

We got married here in 2016. Hired the whole place, cottages and lodges, for the weekend. It was absolutely brilliant. Friends and family came from all over the globe and said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! The staff were so helpful and accommodating, particularly given we planned so much of it from the UK before arriving. Only writing the review now as I take a trip down memory lane while finding the venue details to pass onto a friend.

Tranquil setting, been here twice in the space of a month. Going back soon again. Food is great. Sit outside on the patio, On top of the balcony or by the lagoon. Treat yourself

Very quiet and peaceful, close to the lagoon. Good picnic options, with a massive lawn fronting on the lagoon. We had a small vetkoek platter, with tasty biltong butter, cheese and jam. Varied selection of beers, wine and food.
